welcome to swillington park fishing

Frequently Asked Questions
Please email or call us if you have any further queries.
Where is Swillington Park Located?
We are located just outside of Leeds, off of Wakefield Road, for a map and directs please visit our Contact page.
Is parking available?
There is free ample parking in our car park right next to the lakes. Disabled anglers have priority access for lakeside parking due to limited space.
How much is a day/season ticket?

Please see our prices page for up to date price information.

I'm new to fishing, where should I start?
Lake 5 is the best lake for beginners, once you're catching on this lake a natural progression would be to lake 1 and then lake 3 once you're ready to tackle some bigger carp.
Are the lakes clear to fish all year round?
Yes, we have spent much time and investment to ensure that all our lakes remain clear and weed free throughout the season. You are welcome to visit and look around the fishery before you fish if this is a concern, just make sure to register at the fishery office before you enter.
Can I bring guests/visitors with me who aren't fishing?

Our aim is to build a community of dedicated anglers and for the privacy of our other members we ask that only those that are fishing be on the fishery site.

Our policy is that all non-fishing guests must register before entering the fishery and we may charge an entry fee due to insurance costs of having non-fishing members of the public on the site.

Can I bring my children with me?
We welcome responsible parents who would like to bring their children fishing. We do not however allow unaccompanied under 16s to be on the fishery nor any children who are unsupervised or are not themselves fishing.
Do I need to book?
Please call or email to book in advance for night fishing. There is no booking necessary for day tickets, simply pay at the fishery office on your way in to the fishery.
When are you open?

Swillington Park opens at 7am everyday (except Christmas Day). We close at dusk or 10pm in the summer.

Please be aware there is a callout charge for any non night fishing vehicles who are still on site once the gates are locked.

Do you sell/hire tackle?
We do not currently sell or hire any tackle, there are however many local tackle shops in Leeds and the surrounding areas.
Will I be able to fish if there is a match?
Yes. We are prodominantly a pleasure fishing venue and we retain lakes 1,2,3 and 4 solely for the use of non-match fishing.
Lake 5 is the only match lake and we will advise if this is unavailable for pleasure anglers.
